ourhistory

Founded in New York City in 1979, The TAI Group was originally called The Actors Institute. At that time, our target audience was the theatre community in New York and Los Angeles, but we quickly spread across the US, Europe, Israel and beyond. We were not a typical acting school; we used principles and tools of the theater to help people mine the rich soil of an individual’s creativity and unleash its power. Because of this, our audience quickly widened to people who were starting careers, ending careers and anyone else who needed to experience a creative revitalization.

In 1996, TAI took our creative methodology full time into the corporate world, developing leaders, teams, and the culture of Fortune 1000 companies to generate products, productions and performance of a different kind.

To this day, all of our staff are practitioners of the creative arts. We are not theorists. We are doers. We are actors.
