Michael Filan has been a coach for The TAI Group since 2009. He has worked with executives from Boston Consulting Group, PMI, and Cognizant Technology Solutions. He has also led TAI group workshops such as Sources and other programs for teachers in the NYC Department of Education.

Visual artist and arts educator,  Mike is on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts’ Master of Arts Department where he trains future art teachers. He is the founder of the Art Studio Network in New York City, a program for visual artists that serves as a networking tool to support and encourage connection and community, and to help counteract feelings of isolation after the art-making process is completed.

Michael’s paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums including the Jane Voorhees Zimmerliu Art Museum of Rutgers University; the Koussevitzky Art Gallery of Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield Massachusetts; the JMS Gallery in Philadelphia; the Nicholas F. Rizzo Gallery in Chatham, New Jersey; and the Berlin Kuntsproject in Germany. In New York City he has had exhibitions at Sideshow Gallery Williamsburg Brooklyn Artists Space; the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Atrium Gallery of LaGuardia Community College; the Landmark Gallery; the Lobby Gallery of the Durst Corporation; the Mary Anthony Gallery; and the Shirley Fitterman Gallery of City College University of New York. His work is in corporate, public and private collections, including those of the Borough of Manhattan Community College, Pfizer Corporation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Colgate Palmolive Corporation, and Sally Bingham.

Michael holds a BFA and a Masters of Professional Studies in Art from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
